I just stopped by on a random visit to find a picture of myself sitting on the front page of the site.

I have been going through a heavy set of changes lately, including changes in the domestic arrangement of my intimate relationship.

It has been quite a roller-coaster ride which i am just beginning to level off from.
It has been a great challenge for me to deal with my life lately, and the amount of energy i have been putting into my music, has become an issue affecting my actual physical survival in this world.
I am a graduated music student, who has been stuck in a rut unable to move toward my goals of musical success, and domestic success. Spending the last two months as an example, toting tonnes of gravel at construction sites, or unloading heavy loads from trucks.
As of a number of days ago, as all of the emotional shite hit the fan, an opportunity to change the above described situation arrived.

I have since then been frantically using every moment available to me to try and solidify this opportunity, find a new place of residence, and also maintain what is left of a relationship worse for wear.
old yeller needed to be put down as they say, and it has been quite a personal challenge to see that this is change that is good for mine and friends love for one another as well as a launching pad to some kind of positive financial goals.
There really is no way for me to thank you(whoever is truly responsible), and the community for this honour.

all righty then,
i have posted a new take of ben understands, for those of you who have been following the development of these pieces.
additionally, i have posted a new composition called Blues In Ten Minutes.
I will continue to post takes of these original arrangements when i get better ones.
This session was blessed, not only with the proper line-up(i.e. correct instruments playing the parts meant for them), but also with the presence of a local guitar hero named Michael Guild, and the masterful piccolo stylings of Jeremy Price, and of course the flying piano fingers of the doctor, patrice eydoux.
These takes are a further step toward what these peices should be,
i hope you enjoy, because there is a bit more from this session i am going to put up as soon as i am done editing it.

thank you all for your time and energy

well,
number two in the trials etc.. series
if you listened to the first version,
you will probably notice major differences..
the main melody is definitely much stronger, and the overall picture is much clearer.
still coming..
unfortunately i could not get a good take of any of the other ones but they are almost there..
i'm excited..
and i feel a bit cheesy too..

okay, i finally took the time to start putting folders on the fireweed page.
i still need to work on pictures, but i have separated the music so it's just a bit easier to make some sense of.
hope someone has a need for this..
it is seriously quiet in dmusicland these days..
i don't get it..
oh well..

alright, i put a rather rough version of one of my original compositions and arrangements for jazz ensemble up on the fireweed page...
part one in a series i'm calling the trials and tribulations of the composer.
